Distilled at The Isle of Arran Distillery in September 1996. Bottled in Glasgow in February 2013. Aged 16 years old in American Oak. Un-chill filtered, natural colour. Strength 46.0% Alcohol by volume

It has a nose that is sweet, rich & slightly honeyed with notes of shortbread and vanilla. The palate is medium dry, very smooth, round, creamy and quite sweet. Soft summer fruits. Apricots perhaps. The finish is long with a hint of rose petalsThis is a well balanced malt whisky that has matured beautifully. This is a fine malt that will not disappoint.

The Isle of Arran Distillery is situated at Lochranza in the north of the Isle of Arran on the River Clyde estuary. The distillery went into production on the 29th of June 1995. Arran has long been associated with whisky distilling and it is said that by the end of the nineteenth century there were as many as 50 distilleries operating on the island. Most of them illegal it has to be said. The Visitor Centre was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in August 1997.
