Glenallachie Distillery was built by Scottish & Newcastle Breweries in 1967. The distillery is located in Speyside Region south of Aberlour at the foot of Ben Rinnes. The distillery was sold to Invergordon Distillers in 1985 along with the Isle of Jura Distillery. Glenallachie was closed in 1987 and two years later was sold on to French Group Pernod Ricard. Glenallachie is an integral part of the Chivas Regal brand.
A Soft body, sweet with a hint of fresh cut grass. Or perhaps lavender or rose wood. Very smooth. Pineapple and tangerine on the palate.
