Distilled at The Braes of Glenlivet Distillery in December 1994 & bottled in Glasgow in February 2014 aged 19 years. At natural cask strength of 54.7% Alc/vol. Un-chill filtered, no artificial colouring.
As a main component in the Chivas Regal blend, this is an excellent malt, light golden colour with a honey and orange nose, soft creamy palate and a gingery finish.
The distillery is situated 9 miles south west of Dufftown. Seagram Distillers Plc opened it in 1973. At that time they were still to take over The Glenlivet distillery hence the use of “Braes” in their name. It is a modern distillery with a capacity of over five million litres of alcohol a year. The distillery name was changed in 1994 to Braeval , the name of the croft on which the distillery was built.
